Hello, my name is Mike Simons. I was born in Amarillo Texas and raised in a good home. I would choose rebellion which would lead me down a path in life until I surrendered my life to Christ at age 50. It was at that point that everything changed for me. I went through the Freeway Ministries Discipleship program where I was introduced to CrossBridge Baptist Church. I became a deacon and eventually became an Elder.

I am the Director of Marshfield Freeway Ministries where I get to preach weekly and run the outreach program. Freeway is a ministry that reaches the hard-to-reach with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Its purpose is to bridge the gap between our community and the local church by getting people plugged into the church.

Being a member of CrossBridge has opened the door for me to do missions in and out of the United States. I met my beautiful wife, Barb Simons, in church. We’ve been happily married since October 14, 2022. I’m overjoyed to serve our Lord and Savior with her by my side.

I graduated from Mission University with an associate degree in Biblical Studies and became an ordained minister at CrossBridge.
